Our Projects

ASA Projects and Partners

Sabah, Malaysia

Working with WWF-Malaysia and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), ASA is providing consultancy support for improving the sustainability and productivity of sea cucumber (H. scabra) farming practices and the implementation of a sea cucumber farming cooperative with a local hatchery partner, Borneo Scabra, in community-managed sea cucumber farms at Malawali Island, Tun Mustapha Marine Park, and Larapan Island, Semporna, Sabah, Malaysia.

Great Sea Reef, Fiji

Working on WWF’s Great Sea Reef Resilience Program (GSRRP) under Matanataki, ASA is undertaking a project to develop an innovative community-shared mariculture business centred around sea cucumber (H. scabra) farming to ensure that the Great Sea Reef is healthy and resilient to a changing climate. As to date, ASA is supporting a community-owned trading company to undertake the commercial activities for the traditional resource owners and farmers.
